How we started
Why AQRO exists.
AQRO Research started with a simple observation: researchers were spending hours of every project chasing things that should have come in the box. Lot numbers that didn't match Certificates of Analysis. Generic specification sheets passed off as batch documentation. Third-party testing that wasn't actually third-party. Peptides shipped ambient when cold-chain was on the label. The standard answer in the industry was that this was just how the market worked — that the variability was the price of access. We disagreed. The analytical chemistry behind a high-purity peptide isn't speculative; it's well-established. The cost of running an ISO-accredited third-party lab on every batch isn't prohibitive. The cost of generating a real, batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for every shipment isn't operationally difficult. The reasons most suppliers don't do these things are usually about margin, not feasibility. We built AQRO Research around the opposite premise: that the default for a research peptide vendor should be analytical-grade verification, batch-specific documentation, and direct technical contact — not premium add-ons. Every compound in our catalog meets the same standard. We don't ship anything we wouldn't put into our own assays, and we don't sell anything we can't fully document. That's the operating philosophy. The catalog grew from there.
Lab & quality
How a vial gets to your bench.
Every AQRO Research compound passes through the same workflow before it ships, and the workflow doesn't change for retail vials or wholesale kits. Synthesis is performed via solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) using Fmoc-protected amino acid chemistry — the modern standard for research-grade peptides. After synthesis, each lot is purified by reverse-phase HPLC and lyophilized to a stable powder form. Before any lot enters the catalog, it's analytically verified. Reverse-phase HPLC with UV detection confirms purity to ≥98% — the minimum threshold for catalog listing. ESI-MS or MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry confirms expected molecular weight per lot, catching sequence errors HPLC alone cannot resolve. For complex or novel sequences, amino acid composition analysis is run on representative lots as an orthogonal identity check. All verification testing is performed by an independent ISO 17025-accredited analytical laboratory — never by us, internally. The laboratory name and accreditation appear on the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis that ships with every order. Fulfillment runs out of a temperature-controlled facility. Lyophilized peptides ship in insulated mailers with cold gel packs. Tracking is generated automatically at dispatch. Most in-stock catalog SKUs are processed and handed to the carrier within 24 hours of payment confirmation, Monday through Friday. Analytical records are retained indefinitely. Lost a COA? Email the lot number or order reference and the document is reissued same-day, no charge.

The team.
The AQRO Research team includes contributors with backgrounds in analytical chemistry, peptide synthesis, laboratory operations, and research administration. We work directly with our synthesis and analytical-lab partners — and directly with the researchers who order from us. There is no sales chain between you and the people who actually know the compounds. Sequence questions, MS questions, COA reissues, and custom synthesis quotes are handled by people who can answer them on the merits. We keep that connection deliberate; it's why the technical contact loop is one of the things customers cite most often.
