About Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide (AM833) is a long-acting synthetic analog of human amylin — a 37-amino acid pancreatic peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from beta cells. The compound incorporates multiple α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) substitutions for protease resistance and a C18 fatty acid modification that promotes albumin binding and extended preclinical half-life compared to native amylin. Amylin itself activates calcitonin receptor-like receptors (CLRs) in combination with receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMPs), and cagrilintide is designed to maintain this receptor pharmacology with improved stability characteristics.
In research settings, cagrilintide has been studied for its interaction with amylin receptor subtypes AMY1–AMY3 in cell-based binding assays, downstream signaling pathway characterization, and comparative pharmacological profiling relative to pramlintide and native amylin. The compound is of scientific interest as a single agent and in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists in controlled laboratory investigations examining the coordination of incretin and amylinergic receptor signaling.

Lyophilized Research Peptides
This product is supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form — a process that extends shelf life and preserves peptide purity and structural integrity during storage. No fillers, excipients, or preservatives are used in the lyophilization process. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted with an appropriate research-grade solvent in a controlled laboratory environment prior to use in in vitro or preclinical assay systems.
