CJC-1295 without DAC — also known as Modified GRF(1-29) or Mod-GRF 1-29 — is a 29-amino acid synthetic analog of GHRH(1-29) that shares the backbone sequence of CJC-1295 with DAC but lacks the covalent albumin-binding Drug Affinity Complex modification. Key backbone modifications include D-Ala at position 2 for DPP-IV protease protection, Gln→Ala at position 8 to reduce conformational flexibility, Ala→Leu at position 15 for improved binding stability, and a C-terminal amide. These changes produce a compound with significantly improved DPP-IV resistance versus native GHRH(1-29) while maintaining a non-albumin-bound, shorter-acting pharmacokinetic profile.
